Our Fitness rooms boast a very high 'equipment to user ratio' so it's very rare that you ever have to wait for your favourite peace of equipment. Our unique layout also means that you won't feel cramped or intimidated by lots of other gym goers, nor are there any viewing galleries for others to watch from - in fact, sometimes you'll feel like it's your own personal Gym.
Another nice feature of our fitness rooms is the stretch room – this is a separate room designated for warming up, cooling down, stretching and advanced core and functional training.
Because of our team of exercise and medical professionals including physio’s and Pilates instructors you will find a host of specialist equipment in the room that our team can incorporate into your training regime for rehabilitation, injury prevention, core conditioning and functional training.
Our Studio always brings a smile to clients faces, the mirrored room is fully equipped and looks out over the south lawn. It is equally suited for our high energy Cardio Blast and Step and Tone Classes as it is for Pilates and Yoga.
The Studio Timetable below hosts over 20 classes per week and members will have complimentary use of most of them. Just contact reception to book in.
There are also a number of specialist classes including Pilates, Yoga and Martial Arts on the studio timetable. As these are taught by external Instructors there is a fee for some of them which is payable to the Instructor; most do however offer discount to members.

Our machines are all linked to ‘Cardio Theatre’ allowing you to watch a range of television programs or listen to radio while you work out.

With a range of dumbbells from 1bl to 100bls, a cable cross over machine with a variety of attachments and a Smith machine that can load over 400bls as well as Olympic bars and plates, Med balls and more – you will not outgrow our Gym!!
Many people are put off by free weight particularly the inexperienced, but this form of training is in fact more ‘functional’ allowing you to move in more natural and varied planes of movement like in real life, which helps with injury prevention, rehabilitation and real strength for everyday tasks outside of the gym.
This also allows our highly qualified and experienced team of trainers and specialists to tailor very specific programs for any individual; be it for an elite athlete looking for sports specific training or an office worker looking to correct dysfunction caused by poor posture. – we have the expertise and the equipment to get results!!

| PT + Pilates and Rehabilitation Specialist: A former member of the British Gymnastics team, Lynsey is our longest serving member of the team with 10 years experience just here at the Palace. Having spent 5 years as a fitness instructor Lynsey qualified as a Pilates instructor 6 years ago with the renowned STOTT Pilates school. Lynsey now runs her own business The Core Studio at the Palace with a team of 5 providing Pilates, Personal Training and Sports Massage. |

I have been a qualified level 2 personal trainer for the past 4 years and now currently hold a level 3 qualification, specialising in nutrition and general health queries and personal training goals. My main areas of strength are that of toning and strength training, but can also assist with agility training. Being a Footballer, I can offer sports specific training for both the occasional footballer as well as those that play at a semi professional or professional level. |
